- PHP Programming Free open source WordPress software is the basis of this web site. The software source code was then customized to provide the structure and functions the web site required. The built-in content management system (CMS) allows us to easily maintain the site contents without coding, including uploading and inserting photos and other images on the pages. Various plugins were installed, and in some cases customized, to enhance Search Engine Optimization (SEO), add functions, and make the site simple to maintain. For example, article notices are sent automatically to various social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, when a new post is added. Tools allow viewers to subscribe to articles via email, and share articles quickly with their friends via a wide variety of social networks or email.

The built-in content management system (CMS) allows staff to easily maintain the site contents themselves, including uploading and inserting photos and other images on the pages. - E-commerce Starting with free open source software, a shopping cart system was installed and customized. Google Checkout was used as the integrated payment gateway. The same software has a built-in content management system (CMS) for managing informational pages of the web site as well.
- PHP Programming Existing modules were used, when available, to adapt the default shopping cart functions as neeeded. When no modules were available, source code was revised so the shopping cart would look and function exactly as this company desired.

- PHP Programming The questionnaire was developed using PHP programming to check for entry errors, track a users progress through the pages so corrections can be made easily, and to aggregate data anonymously and securely (encrypted for security using an SSL server and certificate). At the end of the questionnaire, PHP converts the customized output to a high quality, PDF document for the user to print.
- Web Databases (MySQL) Questionnaire data is aggregated into a database securely and anonymously for later research purposes.

- PHP Programming The
entire site uses PHP to build each page from modular parts--page heading,
navigation, subnavigation for each section, page footer, etc. This makes
updating the site extremely efficient and cost-effective. Some of the programming
is customized free open source software, such as the blog--another good way
to keep costs down. Other software was completely developed and customized
for PDA, such as their content management system (CMS) that allows people
with little technical ability to create new articles, upload and manage images,
and select home page content.
- Web Databases (MySQL) Many
databases are part of this site, both to make content management easier for
non-technical people (event calendars and articles, for example) and to manage
large quantities of data.
- E-commerce PDA's online
Store was developed by starting with a free shopping cart software package,
and then the programming was heavily customized to meet their specific needs.

- CGI and Custom Web Software (see CGI Portfolio for details)
- JavaScript:
- Randomized comments on job search page
- Navigation rollovers on the links at the top of inside pages
- PHP Programming PHP is used throughout the site in a modular page design for easy maintenance. Custom content management systems (CMS) were also developed for some of the content (such as nutrition tips, providers, clinic information, etc.), and an events calendar.
- Web Databases (MySQL) Information about various CVHC clinics and the many care providers available are stored in custom-built online databases. The data is maintained via a user-interface which requires little technical skill to manage.
